Organization Spotlight: Delmarva Pet Garden at Parsons Cemetery

Established in 2022, the Delmarva Pet Garden at Parsons Cemetery is a place of permanent memorial and reflection for those former animal-members of the family.

Recognizing the bond between animals and their owners, Parsons Cemetery developed an area specifically for the memorialization of pets. Memorial options include placement of a pet’s cremated remains in the individual or group ossuaries or in family cremation pillars. In addition to placement, pets can be remembered and honored for years to come through the personalization of an optional brick in the walkway.

The Delmarva Pet Garden is open to the public 7 days a week from dawn to dusk. Pets are welcome to visit the Garden with their owners but must observe city leash laws during their visit.

Holloway Funeral Home has been the contracted by St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and the Parsons Cemetery Advisory Committee as the manager of the cemetery since 2005.
